Senior Litigation Attorney

Our client, a top-tier trial firm , is actively expanding its litigation team and seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney to handle high-stakes, complex matters across multiple practice areas.

The Role

As a Senior Litigation Attorney, you will take ownership of sophisticated litigation matters from inception through trial and appeal . This role offers flexibility to focus on plaintiff or defense work based on your experience and interests.

You’ll play a key role in case strategy, client interaction, and trial execution , working alongside top litigators on complex, high-stakes disputes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead complex litigation matters from start to finish
• Develop and execute case strategy , including discovery, depositions, and motion practice
• Prepare cases for trial and actively participate in courtroom proceedings
• Collaborate with clients, experts, and internal teams to build winning cases
• Handle client communication, negotiations, and case assessments
• Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to a high-performing culture

Practice Areas

• Commercial & Business Litigation – complex disputes including breach of contract, real estate, trade secrets, IP, and securities
• Personal Injury (Plaintiff & Defense) – catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and high-exposure matters
• Labor & Employment (Primarily Defense) – wrongful termination, discrimination, wage & hour, and PAGA/class actions
• Insurance Coverage & Bad Faith (Policyholder & Defense Backgrounds Welcome) – high-stakes coverage disputes and bad faith litigation

What We’re Looking For

• 7–15+ years of complex civil litigation experience
• Active California Bar license
• Strong experience in depositions, motion practice, and trial prep
• First- or second-chair trial experience strongly preferred
• Excellent writing, advocacy, and strategic thinking skills
• Background from a mid-to-large firm is a plus
