Job Description

Our client, a design-forward boutique hospitality concept, is seeking a dynamic, polished, and service-driven Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day experience of a unique and growing property. This is a full-time, permanent position offering the opportunity to build a long-term career within a highly curated hospitality environment. While the role provides greater balance than traditional hospitality operations, it follows a distinct seasonal rhythm that requires adaptability, energy, and strong operational foresight. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who thrives in both environments—delivering excellence during peak periods while strategically improving the business during quieter months. The Operations Manager serves as the primary on-site leader, overseeing all aspects of hotel operations including guest rooms, housekeeping, maintenance coordination, and daily service execution. This role blends strategic oversight with hands-on leadership, ensuring the property consistently operates at a high standard while delivering memorable guest experiences. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, tech-savvy, and hospitality-driven, with the ability to seamlessly shift between high-touch service execution and behind-the-scenes operational planning.

  • Salary: $95K

The schedule is Wednesday–Sunday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, with flexibility for additional hours as business demands.

  • High Season (late spring through early fall): Fast-paced, highly guest-facing, and operationally intensive. This period requires strong on-the-floor leadership, real-time problem solving, and a visible presence to ensure an exceptional guest experience.

  • Low Season (fall through early spring): More measured pace, with a shift toward proactive operational planning, administrative focus, team development, and preparing the property for the upcoming season.

Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership

  • Oversee daily property operations to ensure a seamless and elevated guest experience

  • Maintain exceptional housekeeping standards through inspections, inventory control, and quality assurance

  • Monitor property conditions and coordinate maintenance needs efficiently

  • Act as the primary on-site operational leader, particularly during high-volume periods

Team Leadership & Culture

  • Lead, schedule, and support housekeeping, guest services, and seasonal team members

  • Recruit, onboard, train, and mentor staff while maintaining strong performance standards

  • Build staffing schedules aligned with occupancy trends and seasonal demand

  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and guest-focused team culture

Property & Vendor Management

  • Manage vendor and contractor relationships (laundry, maintenance, landscaping, pool services, etc.)

  • Oversee seasonal operations such as pool programming, staffing, and guest usage

  • Support coordination of any adjacent or affiliated residential units

  • Maintain organization and inventory across the property and storage facilities

Technology & Systems

  • Manage and optimize the Property Management System (PMS) and related platforms

  • Troubleshoot operational systems and ensure seamless day-to-day functionality

  • Update guest communication workflows and automated messaging based on seasonality

  • Partner with Food & Beverage teams to drive in-room and ancillary revenue opportunities

Guest Experience & Reputation

  • Actively engage with guests during peak season, ensuring a high-touch, personalized experience

  • Respond to guest feedback and online reviews with professionalism and brand alignment

  • Implement service improvements based on guest insights and operational observations

Revenue & Strategic Focus

  • Review pricing, occupancy, and market trends to support revenue optimization

  • Stay informed on local demand drivers and seasonal opportunities

  • Partner with marketing on promotions and partnerships to drive bookings

  • Build relationships with local businesses and community partners

Seasonal Planning & Operational Development

  • Lead off-season initiatives including process improvements, vendor evaluations, and cost controls

  • Refine SOPs, training programs, and service standards ahead of peak season

  • Conduct inventory audits, capital improvement planning, and operational resets

  • Ensure the property is fully prepared to scale efficiently for high season

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership experience in hospitality operations; boutique or lifestyle property experience preferred

  • Strong operational acumen with the ability to flex between high-volume service and strategic planning

  • Proficiency with hospitality systems including PMS and booking platforms

  • Professional, polished communicator with a strong guest-facing presence

  • Highly organized, proactive, and able to work independently

  • Thrives in a seasonal business model with shifting priorities throughout the year

If you meet the required qualifications and are interested in this role, please apply today.
