As a Security Guard Patrol Unarmed Part Time in Hicksville NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to students staff visitors and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures location-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents disturbances and/or critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings grounds parking areas and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity helping to verify that entry procedures are followed and reporting policy violations maintenance issues and/or unusual conditions.
• Support a professional environment at an educational government location by providing directions answering questions and assisting with security-related needs during normal operations and special events.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of armed security-related law enforcement and/or military experience.
• A state county and/or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
