About the Family & Social Services Administration :
The Division of Family Resources (DFR) within the Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) is responsible for establishing eligibility for Medicaid, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families benefits. The division also manages the timely and accurate delivery of SNAP and TANF benefits. DFR also provides employment and training services to some SNAP and TANF recipients. The division’s overarching focus is the support and preservation of families by emphasizing self-sufficiency and personal responsibility.
Role Overview :
This State Eligibility Consultant (SEC) position is within the Central Integrity Review Team (CIRT) and plays a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of benefits for DFR programs. The SEC is responsible for processing and reviewing tasks, applications, changes, and redeterminations for SNAP, Medicaid and TANF benefits to ensure they adhere to all applicable policies and regulations. The SEC will make necessary corrections, update case information, and authorize benefits. The SEC will offer valuable feedback for peer coaching and reporting purposes, contributing to the overall improvement of the DFR accuracy review process.
Salary:
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $37,648.00 but may be commensurate with education and work experience. Use our to view the total compensation package.
